Russell Reid is a Partner in Tax and Business Services with over 20 years experience as a business services practitioner. Prior to joining Nexia Court & Co, he worked for a big-four firm before working briefly in the UK and returning to build his career within a small firm environment. His specialist areas include tax structuring for SME’s and auditing for financial services licensees.

Among his many long-standing clients are some groups that he has advised for well over 15 years. During this time he has dealt with succession issues, capital gains tax (CGT), small business concessions structuring, retirement planning, private equity buy-ins and general compliance. He assisted one of his clients to identify, implement and manage operational procedures that have resulted in a 25% year-on-year improvement in their net profit.

Aspiring to a ‘common goal’ approach, Russell’s focus is on his clients identifying and realising their longterm business aims. The skills and knowledge he has developed over the years ensure he provides sound, tailored advice designed to build, strengthen and grow his client’s businesses.

Russell holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of NSW. He is a Fellow of the Tax Institute of Australia, a Registered Company Auditor and a Chartered Accountant.
